So busy!

This has been an extraordinarily busy week, mainly because of bank trouble! I tried to transfer some money from Australia to Japan, and it went pear-shaped. Without thinking, on the transfer form, I wrote my name the Western way, "Stuart Lamont". But, this wasn't good enough for the Japanese bank, apparently; they are demanding that the name on the transfer must match their records perfectly! ("Lamont Stuart Gordon") So, because of all this mess, I've been running around all week.

This weekend has been a nice change of pace, however. I've travelled to Saitama (basically north of Tokyo) to stay with friends, and had the opportunity to see a performance of traditional Japanese dance. Two of the girls dancing were less than 6 years old! At one point, they performed some sort of move which resembled the moonwalk, only forwards, (if one can imagine such a thing!).

Also, the weather has been quite good, but I've been told that the rainy season is almost upon us!

More news later.
